Summer in New England is precious because it is so hard-won and so fleeting.. If you’re in the city and tight on space, I say have those lounge chairs take center stage, and consider a gateleg table with a small footprint that can expand when you entertain. A stone-capped wall on a patio can double as a bench to create more space.

There are so many amazing options, just watch your outdoor space to see how the light moves through the day and you’ll know where the best spot it, if you need one that tilts, etc.. We love a classic stripe, or a pagoda shape. Choose one that works with the look of your home's exterior.
